Marine & Underwater Connectivity

Sealed connection strategies for submerged sensors, marine instruments, water monitoring and wet-environment equipment.

Marine and underwater connector application
Application illustration · connection architecture is finalized against the equipment drawing.
Application engineering

Control sealing from the connector interface through the complete cable assembly.

Marine instruments and submerged sensors require more than a nominal IP rating. Depth, immersion duration, pressure cycles, salt exposure, cable jacket and rear sealing must be reviewed as a complete connection system.

Connection requirements

What the system must connect

  • W Series connectors for submerged sensors and underwater instruments.
  • K and F Series sealed push-pull interfaces for deck and splash-zone equipment.
  • Sealed panel receptacles with controlled rear-side termination.
  • Cable assemblies designed around pressure, water blocking and strain relief.
  • Protective caps and service procedures for unmated connectors.
Engineering workflow

Define before release

  1. Define depth, pressure, immersion duration and mating condition.
  2. Review salt exposure, temperature and material compatibility.
  3. Specify cable jacket, diameter, water blocking and bend radius.
  4. Validate sealing and electrical tests on the approved assembly.
